CLINIC LAYOUT: Consists of 2 consulting rooms, private waiting room, dispensary, NUM Coffee and toilets. The rooms are modern, have sinks are fully furnished and equipped

SECURITY OF TENURE: The clinic premises are under a current lease of 5 years stemming from a 5-year option exercised in Feb 2016 to 2021 plus another 5 yr option to Feb 2026

CLINIC DOCTORS: There are currently two working male doctors (one being the principal) accredited Methadone prescriber assisted by the NUM. Principal Doctor works Tues (2.30pm-7pm) & Wed (5.30am-8.30am), being his face to face consultation time. He puts in another 3 hours/wk. in admin, meetings etc.

STAFFING: Currently, the clinic employs a handful of qualified experienced RN’s and is overseen by an experienced Nursing Unit Manager (NUM).

PATIENT NUMBERS: The principal has approx 140 pts under treatment. Note: Apparently, there is no limit or controls, on the hours worked or patient seen, from the public sector. There may be a NSW Health limit on clinics of some 350 patients.

FEE STRUCTURE: The clinic is mixed billings with an average of 30% B.B. and 70% private fees. The principal doctor receives 100% of the Medicare income of some $100,000pa wkg only 42 wks pa. The doctors averaged $50/patient/consult. Note: All medication are provided free of charge/Bulk billed by the Dispensary.
