Communication connects us but sometimes it just does not seem to come naturally. Some children need a helping hand to develop their speech & language skills – this business assists kids!  

The business is on the market as the owner is relocating overseas later this year. As a sole practitioner with a full caseload, a waiting list and loyal referral base; she is seeking a new owner to continue her legacy in the eastern suburb of Sydney. She currently shares a lease with an Occupational Therapist in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. 

Business hours: Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm

Services offered include but are not limited to:

• Late talking – when a toddler is not speaking or only uses a few words.
• Unclear Speech – when a child’s speech sounds muffled, slushy, unclear
• Behaviour  – when a child cannot express their needs with words
• Listening & following directions – when a child has trouble recalling and following directions. 
• Disrupted Speech/Stuttering – when it sounds like a child’s speech is disrupted and they cannot “get their words out.”
• Speech that is difficult to understand.
• Selective eating
• Putting words into sentences
• Conversation – when a child is having trouble holding a conversation
• Literacy – difficulty learning to decode, blend, read, spell & write
• Reading Comprehension – when a child has difficulty understanding what they read.
• Voice – hoarse or strained voice quality, vocal nodules.
• Expression – when a child finds it hard to put their thoughts & ideas into words
• Hearing – when a child has a hearing impairment
• Accessing the curriculum – when communication difficulties affect the ability to learn
• Friendship issues & social skills – when they miss-read social cues or have low confidence building & maintaining friendships
• Study/exams – they assist with applications for special provisions in exams, such as for the HSC; & with study practices
