History & Facilities

• Bought '96 & extended doubled size – '88
• Super clinic funding allowed 2nd expansion – '11
• 11 rms, 2 nurse stations (1x w/ chair, 1x w/ chair + bed), a 1x bed procedure rm & allied health

Team

• 4.2 FTE GPs w/ 4 drs on 65/35% & 1x Level 1 on 50/50%
• 1 GP is VMO w/ on-call duties 1:4
• Owner VMO Anaesthetist 2x/mth
• 1x dr sitting final f/ship exam '25 (currently on A1 rates)
• Level 2 appln pending for Level 1 dr
• GP joined in Jan '25 (482-visa w/ a 4 yr post)
• A targeted posn exists from Feb '26 for a RVTS training posn
• UWS med students visit (GPs are paid $400/day to support this education on 65/35% fee split)
• PM – Accreditation, orientation drs + staff, rostering, staff education, equipment/IT control, personnel management, patient issues, dr registration/AHPRA app’s (FT)
• Owner's wife – tax, financial + asset management, recruitment (F/T)
• 1st assist PM – trust accounts, drs disbursement & debt collection (FTE 0.9)
• 2nd assist PM – payroll & general assistance, stock ordering, assists equip m'ment,  (31 hrs/wk)
• Office Mngr – monitor HC providers/room rental, incoming emails, dr requests, aged care  (3.5x/wk)
• Assist Office Mngr – workers’ comp, med records, IT assist, Hotdoc, MyMedicare reg + GPACI, relief OM duties(FT)
• PN: 1x RN, 1x EEN (FTE 1.4), AHN (FTE 0.1)

Allied 

• Pt case mngr – RN (FTE 0.6) = Health assessments
• Physio (FT) (80/20%)
• Podiatrist (80/20%) – 2 days/wk
• Podiatrist indigenous clinic (1x/12) – rm rent
• Diabetes educator/dietitian (2x/12) – rm rent
• Hearing (2x/12) – rent
• EP (1x/wk) – rent
• Optom (1x/12) – rent
• D+A counselling monthly – no charge

VMO's

• Orthopod (1x/12) – rent
• MLHD Paeds clinic (1x/12) – rent

HR & Contracts

• Employsure assist HR by subscription
• Drs are on independent contracts, some using their own co#
• Drs can work at the local hosp as VMO + also in ED/on call

• MD, Pracsoft & MYOB
• No Website (Local comms via FB)
• HotDoc for appointments & billing of phone consults (implementation progressing)
• Current Tyro &HICAPS (until HICAPS upgrades + Pracsoft compatible)

Pts + Billing

• MB practice w/ BB for incentive eligible
• 10% of pts are Aboriginal w/ CTG (Closing the Gap registered/funding)
• Practice principal supports about a dozen methadone + pain man pts
• SWPE = 3,500 approx

Rent

• $114,960 pa +GST or the new owner can buy the bldg for $1.6M

Stability

• Long-term staff
• GPs own local homes
